Presently just a few Nigerians are in the music production industry and they are doing well too. It's like those currently involved in this venture got some of their techniques abroad from better developed countries into Nigeria in order to make things work in spite of the Nigerian factor. Mo'hits records as well as Kennis music are involved with a couple of others in capturing young budding and talented artistes and grooming them for their music business. Yes music is becoming big business in Nigeria with the booming economy thanks to the rise of capitalism as well as the rise of oil prices which helps people have more disposable income. The producers have com with more advanced technology, better education, relevant experience and of course the Nigerian blood to make things work for better in the music industry. It's no longer about fighting the effects of piracy of their Cd albums but they've now become consoled with the many special appearances their artistes are paid for, the royalties big telecom companies are paying and are willing to pay for delivering their work as ring tones to millions of people in Nigeria. We also have the oil companies, newspapers, and other top notch firms who are paying artistes to identify with their brands, all of which is good for their business. The producers have come with better anticipation of profits which they are getting which is already enabling them to have more disposable income to fight the pirates. They are succeeding because their working environment is becoming more and more positive. Sooner or later, Nigerian songs and videos would even be delivered on 3g to millions of GSM mobile phone users.
