Why did those actors delve into singing

I've always wondered why those two actors, Osuofia and Omotola ever went into releasing music tracks. You remember Nkem Owoh's music release as well as Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde's. have Funny enough, they don't really have the true substance or messsage in their songs. I don't see any rationale for them to engage in singing in the first place cos it's misplaced and they shoudn't have gone into that in the first place. I mean, it's ok if they feature in musical videos only as actors and not as musicians. They should spend their extra time in developing their acting talents which is too poor.
