Her full names are Nneka Lucy Egbuna and is known as Nneka in the music business. Nneka is a Nigerian singer with an Igbo father and German mother who was born in Nigeria, grw up i Warri but moved to Germany in her teens for study thereafter. She seemed to have cultivated her own kind of music which she seems to portray as African and it really sounds refined. She plays a guitar, sings in English and some Nigerian slangs. Her music sounds a bit like Jazz or Reggae but I'm not too sure. I was not initially sure if I should categorize her type of music as Nigerian but she does have a bit of the Naija swagger, having released a great album already titled Concrete Jungle
Nneka's style of singing is really inspiring and even though she has done well in her musical career, she is back in Nigeria probably to identify with the growing entertainment industry. Last I read about her is that she is now the face and brand ambassador for Starcomms Nigeria.
