Iwe by Flavour

This is actually a moving song and tribute to the Late Mc loph by his relation - Flavour. Mcloph, the Osondi Owendi remix guy who had some collabos with flavour was reported to have died in a car crash when travelling for his traditional wedding. He lived in lagos prior to his death and this song which comes in a mix of Igbo and English is Flavour Nabania's missing you song. For thos who don't know, Iwe in Igbo means Angry and I guess that's how many fans of Mcloph feel towards the death of McLoph - A promising artiste. - By Ezenet in Nigerian Songs Friday December 9, 2011 at 11:1:31

Sultan sure knows to to deliver a good song and the nice tunes. Flavour is also topping the charts with his style of African music and some of his great songs include: Oyi and Nwababy, He is currently being touted as the new king of high life - a brand to which the likes of Osadebe, Victor Olaiya and Oliver de Coque identified with.

I celebrate by Waconzy + Lyrics

I celebrate is really a very popular song in Nigeria now and there probably is no music love that hasn't listened to this song. I've been hearing the song at radio and on mobile phones but didn't really know his name but after a bit of public research and Youtubing, I found out more. Waconzy already has a couple of hit songs to his credit like: 1. Ikebe Super (2008 hit) 2. Wedding day 3. Icelebrate (Iwori wo) Now who is Waconzy? I didn't get much about his biography from his official website but what we know is that his real name is Obinna and he is from Rivers state and he sings mostly in Nigerian pidgin and a bit of Ikwere or Igbo. Waconzy is really carving a niche for himself in the music industry with his selecting group of songs like. He has a good voice and good at song writing which is fit for the Nigerian audience. Fans of Waconzy can get to know more about him from his superb website at www.waconzy.com. I would be doing more blog posts on this guy later on. Lyrics for I Celebrate (Iworiwoh) by Waconzy == I don't have all the lyrics as I'm still compiling it and you can help too. The Chorus: Iworiwoh (Iwori wo) Jehovah emekwa la ya ozo Nnam mekwere eh, meperem uzo I am better than the best We shall never rest Nnam meperem uzo Other parts of the lyrics that I find really touching are: I was born with a silver spoooooon Then I lost the spoooooon I give God the glory oh As I waka everybody start dey know me oh I give God all the glory oh E be like say I hold money pass Abiola, Babangida, Yardua. - By Ezenet in Nigerian Songs Wednesday November 2, 2011 at 8:48:26

Kuchi Kuchi is the song of the year

The great thing about this song is although it is literally sang to portray a mother's irrevocable love for her sucking child, it also could be related to pure unadulterated love between lovers. Her voice simply carries the song to ethereal heights as she flows between pitches with seamless ease. A far better pitch blender than Omawunmi or Timi Dakolu himself. Powerful singer and a classic absolute beauty of a song! - By Mindoxy in Nigerian Songs October 27, 2011 at 14:26:50

Plantain boy by Timaya

What I love about Timaya is that he sure knows how to connect with people across Nigeria in such a simple form. Timaya is a talented singer and this song on Plantain boy seems to inform his fans about his rise from grass to grace. Forget story oh, Timaya is really a big boy now who has done well for himself. Whoever knew that Nigerian musicians would really make a real living just by singing. As for top artistes like Timaya, they know him wella! I like the video and the song tells a real Nigerian story.

The Future by T.Y. Bello

We are the Future. This is a hot new song by TY Bello - a female Nigerian musician. This is one song that has a great sound, cool lyrics and well composed. Songs like these are what Nigeria really needs now that we may be facing challenges as a nation. We truly are the future. We are the ones who will also shape the future so what we do today affects tomorrow. This is really an inspiring song and I give thumbs up to T.Y. Bello. For the video, I would say it didn't exactly meet up to expectation as it was somehow, low keyed but it came with good camera shots. The audio for the song is great but the video is not classy enough. I mean, this is 2011, Nigeria music industry does better videos than that. Overall, it is a Nice song anyway. - By Ezenet in Nigerian Songs Thursday October 6, 2011 at 20:21:24

Noni by Samklef ft Wizkid D'Prince and Ice Prince

This nice song comes with a great video fro a talented artiste. Samklef doesn't sing all the time but when he does, he knows how to deliver and he's got the attitude. He does a collabo with other popular artistes like Wizkid, D'Prince and Ice Prince. Now this is a hit song and one of the best videos for 2011. Nice. Molowo Noni is a Yoruba phrase meaning I've got money, don't I? - By Ezenet in Nigerian Songs Sunday October 2, 2011 at 14:3:47

Osondi Owendi Tribute to Late MC Loph

This is in tribue to the late musician MC loph. He was reported to have died in a car crash last week on a journey to the east for his traditional wedding. He died together with his lone female sibling and it seems that their aged mother iw nos the sole survivor in the family. The worst thing is that her fiancee also died later in a hospital after having some injures in the car crash. MC loph(meaning Lover of Pure Hip Hop) may not have sang many songs but he will be remmembered in the music industry for his remix of Osadebe's Osondi Owendi with Flavour His real name was Nwaozo Obiajulu and he hails from Anambra state.

Download P Square new 2011 Album: The Invasion

Top musicians in Nigeria, P Square recently have launched another album and this one came with a lot of publicity with already popular tracks like Forever, Onyinye and Bunie ya enu in the list. PSquare are the leading musical group currently and all their albums seem to get a lot of air play on radios and event centres. Peter and Paul do certainly know how to entertain people, not just in Nigeria but across Africa and the rest of the world as they do tours, shows and appearances that help promote their brand. They do not seem to be slowing down and it seems that the Pees still have a lot more to come as they grow in their career. - By Ezenet in Nigerian Songs Sunday September 11, 2011 at 13:12:7

Oliver by Dbanj

Oliver is a new song by D'banJ and produced by Mohits records. He probably took the name from the famous Oliver twist story about a lad who never gets satisfied and always wanting more. This may not be the original video for this song as there is no official video yet just a youtube home movie by the Mohits crew Oliver by D'banj is more about the life of a player and his many women. It seems the song has been banned by the Nigerian Broadcasting network(NBC) but what do you really think about this song? The song starts with the lyrics, I have a confession Don’t take it personal I have a confession so you got to listen I have a confession ...
